Audio Through the Headphone Jack - Chromebook

The following will show you how to set your output to “Headphones.” This is important if you have headphones plugged in and it’s playing through the built-in speakers instead or not at all.

First, go to the menu in the bottom-right corner of the screen:

Next you’ll click the arrow next to the volume control slider.

You should see a section labeled “Output.” Select “Headphone” and it should take effect immediately.
